Welcome to Lighthouse Explorers Christian Child Center...
a place to play. learn and EXPLORE!

At Lighthouse Explorers, children are offered options to participate in a variety of group and individual activities such as arts, crafts, games, physical activities in an inside Large Muscle Area or outside on the playground. We offer a balance of Teacher-Directed, Child-Initiated, Large Group, Small Group and one-on-one activities. This helps children prepare for the elementary classroom settings they will experience in kindergarten and beyond. We offer two curriculum's, each complimenting each other and both including Christian values.

Lighthouse Explorers is located in Lighthouse Church at 3285 144th St W, Rosemount MN 55068.

First opening our doors for Childcare and Preschool in 2012, we have grown to care for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age.
Our hours are 6:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday - Friday.

Our PURPOSE...

To build a strong, intellectual foundation in children by using best practices in early learning; to provide a Christian-based child center to safely learn, play and explore God’s love and the world.

Lighthouse Explorers desires to help each child reach his/her highest potential in five different ways:

Intellectually

Complement the classroom curriculum by providing readiness opportunities to read, write, experiment, observe, ask questions, problem-solve and play games.

Socially

Encourage social growth through a variety of opportunities like dramatic play, 1-to-1 experiences, building with a variety of materials and small/large group meetings for planning and discussing.

Spiritually

Help children see themselves as a very special creation, unique and loved by God. Children see Jesus as their very best friend and learn to live in a relationship of love and forgiveness.

Physically

Increase children's find and gross motor coordination through the use of arts & crafts, manipulative toys, active games, sports and movement activities (both indoor and outdoor), as well as provide nutritious snacks and rest times to promote healthy, life-long habits.

Emotionally

Foster emotional development within a supportive, compassionate and stable atmosphere, which stresses individual choice and responsibility.
